Thani Wawas

Together with the Ivar Mendez Foundation, from the renowned Bolivian neurosurgeon Ivar Mendez, we have worked the development of a productively sustainable full of nutrients food offering, which could stimulate the healthy growth of children, up to 12 years old, located within isolated rural communities at the Bolivian Andes.

Thani Wawas, which in Quechua means “healthy children”, aims to provide healthy foods, based on Andean grains such as quinoa, chia, amaranth and cañahua, ensuring the use of natural sugars found in fruits such as mango, papaya, pear and banana.

With this initiative we hope to improve the eating habits of nearly 1,300 children in 24 schools in the province of Muñecas, in the department of La Paz.
